I hope you had a good start in the New Year. 2022 feels strange, after two years pandemic. We could celebrate a sad anniversary. We could try to let things go. What I personally learned is, that I have to listen to myself and ignore all voices around me. The more crazy the world goes, the more I go inside. I feel not ready yet for the big action.
I am still in a kind of hibernation, where everything goes slowly. My body and mind tell me the way and I follow. Nevertheless, there is new life on the way. In my family but also in my writer's life. After I went through the process of writing my first book, Ghost Stories, I will move on with my second book. "Moves and Travels" will hopefully be published in Spring 2022. It is a big contrast to the dark poetry in my first book.
My moves and travels to other countries, my European views and my love to countries, meeting new people and learning about culture as well as my nostalgic views of memories, I connect with different places I've been before, will be the core of this book. It will be bigger and full of pictures. An album of poetry and pictures that shows a big part of my life. Without travelling and without my short stays in other countries, I wouldn't be the same person and I could not write such different inspired poems.
Originally, this book was meant as my first book but I think I needed to publish the dark poetry first, to get rid of it. Now my heart is more cleaned from this publication and it's time to start with the next project. Photography was once one of my creative expressions and has lost its meaning. Just in 2021 it came back to me. After I sold my Canon, which was anyway to heavy for me, I will get a lighter version of a camera that hopefully will accompany me more often. And so, my future books will include a few more pictures.
"Moves and Travels" will be a combination of both, poetry and pictures. It will be more work and requires more pages and higher print costs, so that the end price will be higher than my first book. In the end, you will love it because you will travel with me and get more impressions from the places where I've been. It will be available on Amazon again, worldwide.
